The Rozia Foundation is launching a free online Bible course in Kurdish (Sorani) today, in collaboration with Global Rize. Through this course, we aim to make knowledge of the Christian faith accessible to Kurds worldwide.
The «خولی ئەلکیتاب» (Al-Kitaab) course takes participants on a journey through the Holy Scriptures, from the Torah and the Psalms to the Gospel, in a series of short, clear lessons. Each participant receives personalised guidance from a mentor and is awarded a certificate upon completion. The course is completely free and can be taken online.
For the many millions of Kurds, most of whom are from a Muslim background, there is still very little material on the Christian faith available in their own language. This course aims to change that. It is in line with our aim to make the hopeful message of the Gospel available in the Kurdish language, as a path to spiritual restoration.
“We want every Kurd to have the opportunity to learn about the Gospel in their own language. This course brings that knowledge within reach, wherever they live,” said Shaho Hawrami, director of the Rozia Foundation.
