Questions and answers
A Christian foundation for Kurds.
We are a Christian foundation standing alongside the Kurdish people. Here we answer the questions people ask us most often.
What is Rozia Foundation?
Rozia Foundation is a Christian foundation from the Netherlands that stands alongside the Kurdish people. It was founded in 2024 and is registered as an ANBI (a Dutch public benefit organisation). We work among Kurds in their own language, far beyond the Netherlands too.
What does Rozia Foundation do for Kurds?
We do three things. We share the gospel in Kurdish, through our platform Hiwa Bo Kurd and the Hiwa app. We stand alongside people in need: in early 2026, together with a local partner, we reached 3,777 families in north-eastern Syria with food, water and hygiene products. And we stand up for Kurdish Christians and their religious freedom.
Does Rozia Foundation only help Christians?
No. Our help is for everyone, regardless of background or faith. We are a Christian foundation, and that is exactly why we see the whole person.
What is Hiwa Bo Kurd?
Hiwa Bo Kurd is the brand name under which we share the gospel online. In Kurdish it means ‘Hope for Kurds’. The platform and the Hiwa app offer, among other things, the Bible, songs, daily devotions and courses, in Kurdish. The app is still in development.
Is Rozia Foundation a church?
No. Rozia Foundation is a Christian foundation, not a church or congregation. We do not hold church services. Kurdish-speaking churches have their own leadership and websites.
How can I support Kurdish Christians?
You can pray for the Kurds and for Kurdish Christians. You can support our work with a one-off or monthly gift. And you can sign up for our newsletter to stay informed.
Can I give from outside the Netherlands?
Yes. You can give online through our form, or transfer the amount to our Dutch bank account. Our ANBI status applies to Dutch taxes. If you live in another country, please check with your own tax authority whether your gift is deductible.
How do I know my gift is well spent?
Rozia Foundation is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK 92679692) and has ANBI status. Our policy plan, our board and our financial accounts can be found on our ANBI status and transparency page. The board is unpaid.
How do I get in touch?

Help build hope.
Your gift does two things. It brings the gospel in Kurdish and it supports Kurdish Christians. Rozia Foundation is a recognised ANBI (a Dutch public benefit organisation), so your gift is tax-deductible in the Netherlands.
