Today Rozia Foundation, together with Global Rize, is launching a free online Bible course in Kurdish (Sorani). With this course we are making knowledge about the Christian faith accessible to Kurds worldwide.
The course «خولی ئەلکیتاب» (Al-Kitaab) takes participants through Scripture in a series of short, clear lessons, from the Torah and the Psalms to the Gospel. Each participant is personally supported by a mentor and receives a certificate on completion. The course is completely free and can be followed online.
For the many millions of Kurds, most of whom come from a Muslim background, there is still hardly any material about the Christian faith in their own language. This course aims to change that. It fits our goal of making the hopeful message of the gospel available in the Kurdish language, as a path to spiritual restoration.
“We want every Kurd to have the chance to get to know the gospel in their own language. This course brings that knowledge close, wherever someone lives,” says Shaho Hawrami, director of Rozia Foundation.
The course is available at hiwabokurd.com.
